Service overview

• You need a Sidewalk Café License to place seating on the public sidewalk outside a bar or restaurant.
• A sidewalk cafe must be located in an authorized area of the Borough

WHO MUST APPLY:

• Any business owner or their agents that own or operate a food or beverage business can apply for this license.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A copy of an accepted site plan
• All café equipment must fit within café encroachment boundaries
• A certificate of Insurance
• A Sidewalk Café release form (Hold Harmless Agreement)
• Proof of other regulatory body approvals that may be necessary, such as a PA liquor Control Board service area approval.

REGULATIONS:

• Cafe must be located adjacent to the business that is applying for the permit
• Comply with all plans submitted to and approved by the Borough
• Serve alcoholic beverages in conformance with the PLCB requirements and Borough ordinances.
